Idaho Opportunity Scholarship For Single Moms In Need
Last Updated on May 23, 2024 by Kathy
The external scholarship is a term that includes all opportunity scholarships that are administered, selected and awarded by organizations other than just the College of Idaho. The awarding organization will accept students for the scholarship, and the College will receive funds to support student accounts.
Some scholarships can be sent directly to students. They may use the funds towards tuition or student account balances or qualified educational expenses such as books, room and board, fees or even a laptop.
State Of Idaho Scholarship Opportunity
The Idaho State Board of Education offers many scholarships for high school students in Idaho and students who are considering going to college in Idaho. The criteria and amount of awards vary depending on the scholarship program. All students are encouraged to apply for these scholarships by the College.
The College of Idaho offers more scholarships than state universities. This means that most students who enroll at the College are not eligible for the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship. The Idaho Department of Education has established guidelines that the College cannot award the Opportunity Scholarship to students who receive less scholarship funding than it costs to attend 4-year state universities.
They encourage Out-of-state students to contact their state board of education to learn more about scholarship opportunities. No matter where their student is from, many states recognize them.
