Tennessee Families First is a welfare program that assists qualified low-income families with children through temporary cash benefits for up to 60 months.
They require you to sign a Personal Responsibility Plan (PRP) to be eligible for the program. Signing the PRP agrees on:
- work or participate in work-related activities for 30 hours a week (not participating will deny you of benefits)
- Cooperate with child support requirements
- Make sure your children stay in school and receive regular health checks and immunization shots.
