Offers programs and services to single mothers in crisis. They provide energy assistance and help customers with special needs. They educate their customers about ways to reduce their electric bills. The budget billing program helps single mothers to forecast their monthly energy costs and allows them to plan for them.
To provide energy assistance for their customers, the power company has partnered with the Salvation Army. The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is another program that they offer to customers who are facing financial difficulties. This non-profit specializes in the following services: women’s health and cardiac and vascular, orthopaedic services, oncology, surgery services, and orthopaedic services. Cape Henlopen Food Basket (CHFB)
Provides assistance to those in need. If a person needs food assistance more often than three times within a 3-month period, they will be referred to Delaware State Social Services. Then, the CHFB will send them back to the CHFB. All beneficiaries receive the same food.
Families in need receive a food basket that provides them with a 10-day supply of frozen and canned food as well as supermarket vouchers which allow them to purchase perishables like eggs, fresh milk, and butter. The USDA grants nonprofits and community organizations to provide food.

Atlantic Community Thrift Shop (ACTS)
