Alaska Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) For Rent Assistance
This state program offers rental deposits and arrearages for people who are facing eviction notices or owing payments. The Emergency Services Project offers financial assistance for individuals and their families in an emergency situation. It helps them to revert to permanent or stable housing. You must not be able to afford housing, be homeless, or be in imminent danger of becoming homeless.
Shiloh Community Housing Inc.
Non-profit corporation, a branch of the Community Housing Development Organization. The Incorporation provides financial assistance for overdue rent payments in order to secure housing for people who would otherwise be eligible. They provide rent and utility assistance to prevent evictions. Each family and individual who applies for housing development assistance are assessed individually through an interview. Shiloh Housing aims to build the community by providing shelter for the homeless and economic planning as well as outreach to the disadvantaged.
Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC)
The Alaska Legal Services Corporation (ALSC), a non-profit, offers low-income residents quality civil legal services at no cost. This helps to protect their well-being and foster family stability. The ALSC assists applicants who are facing serious civil legal issues. These include housing, consumer, family, Alaska Native, public benefits, healthcare, Alaska Native, and other areas that veterans or the elderly can’t afford. Alaska legal services provide access to justice that may not have been possible for those who are in greatest need.
The Glory Hall Supports Rent Assistance in Alaska
Non-profit organization supported by community donations, state and federal grants, as well as private grants. These donations can be used to provide food and shelter to those who are most in need. Glory Hall provides three meals per day, as well as emergency shelter, mental therapy, transportation assistance with obtaining identification documents, social service referral assistance and laundry.
